Every year, when we were still free to explore the world, I took a group of travel-loving knitters to different countries known for their knitting tradions.
The inspiration for this cozy coat came from The Gourmet Yarn Shops’ Knitting Tour to Ireland in 2017, where they were likely seen in a classic Irish Tweed wool.
The coat can be knit in a solid color or in a variety of stripes and squares. The hood makes for a practical addition when it begins to drizzle.
We think it’s the perfect car coat for kids, easy to wear with a wide fit.
To change the size, just knit a gauge and adjust to the desired size. The parts are knit straight, and are simple enough even for beginners.
