Cardamom Cardigan
Construction:
Cardamom cardigan is worked from the top down. First, stitches are cast on and increases are made on both the right and wrong side while working flat to create a contiguous shoulder construction. Increases are made towards the front of the cardigan as well.
When all increases for the sleeves have been made, these are put to rest while the body is worked. At the bottom of the body a rib is worked and finished with double knitting and an Italian cast-off. The sleeves are then worked in the round, while doing decreases at the underside. The sleeves are also finished with a rib, double knitting and Italian cast-off. Finally, the button plackets are worked in double knitting.
Size guide:
This pattern includes eight different sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) which fits a bust-circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm.
The circumference of the sweater is 89 (96) 104 (111) 119 (127) 134 (142) cm. We recommend that you measure your bust circumference (or circumference at the widest area) and add a positive ease of around 5-20 cm, when choosing which size to knit.
Example: if your circumference at the widest area is 90 cm we would recommend knitting a size M, which will have a positive ease of 14 cm.
