This top down raglan is more dynamic when paired with coordinating Brenda and Heather Yarns striping and gradient yarns. The gradient is used for the body of the sweater and the striping is used for the sleeves. This creates a nice effect and frees you from having to match the gradient on the way down the sleeve.

In the pictured watermelon sample, I used 1 gradient ball, 1 striping ball, and 1 skein of the coordinating watermelon rind (instead of a second gradient skein) to make a size 4T. The 12m rainbow sample is made with 1 gradient ball and 1 striping ball, with plenty of the striping left over for a matching hat or booties.
