Glam Cardi (english version)
This design is perfect to wear on special occasions. Ideal to complement with high-waisted pants or skirt, the Cardi Glam is a cropped vest, tight to the body, with ¾ sleeves and embossed shoulder pads with a touch of shine.
To build your Cardi Glam, you will have to knit seven separate pieces, which will finally be joined together with a special seam and a wool needle. The body consists of five rectangles made in simple points and neatly joined. The shoulder pads, woven in Crocodile stitch, provide a different and sophisticated finishing touch through their triangular shape, texture and shine. The structure is also complemented by the buttons: I will teach you how to calculate distances to place them in the perfect place and ensure that your vest fits precisely.
With this pattern I teach you how to obtain the key measurements of your body, with which you will begin to knit a garment especially adapted to you. Although the pattern includes a table with six sizes, I will show you how to take your measurements at all times, without following specific sizes. This system will allow you a unique result for your own body.
As always, I wanted to bring together a lot of techniques and learnings in a single project. The idea is that, through it, you can show off your work and the quality of the yarns you choose, and that the result obtained makes you feel like an even more proud knitter.

Difficulty level: Intermediate.

Techniques required: Basic crochet stitches, fancy stitches, body measurement.

Yarns used:
• CC1 / Merino Superwash DK Casasol, Steel Gray color (100% Merino SW 19 microns), 100 grams (3.0 ounces) – 200 meters (218 yards).
• CC2 / Casasol Glitter Thread, single strand in Lace thickness, Silver color (100% Metallic Fiber), 10 grams (0.35 ounces) – 125 meters (136 yards). Both yarns are woven together to make the shoulder pads.

Main yarn thickness: DK.

Quantity needed for each size:
• CC1: 2200 meters / 2405 yards).
• CC2: 1 small spool of 10 grams (0.35 ounces) and 125 meters (136 yards). This yarn is used together with the main yarn in making the shoulder pads. You can replace it with any shiny lace thickness, or simply knit the shoulder pads with DK thickness shiny yarn.

Crochet required: 5 mm.

Other tools and materials: measuring tape, wool needle, stitch markers, scissors, 5 12 mm buttons. (0.5 inches).

Gauge: For this design, the ideal is that you make two tension samples, at two different points. The first corresponds to 14 stitches x 12 rows = 10 x 10 centimeters (4x4 inches approximately). The second should be 13 stitches x 19 rows = 10x10 centimeters (4x4 inches approximately).

Gauge 1: Make 20C and work 1PMA in the third chain from the crochet. Then work 1 PMA in each next chain, until the end of the row. Turn the fabric over, make 1C and 1PMA in the first stitch. Then continue knitting 1 PMA in each stitch of the previous row repeat until you have 15 rows knitted. • Gauge 2: Make 20C and work 1SC in the second chain from the crochet. Then work 1SC in each next chain, until the end of the row. Turn the fabric over, make 1C and 1PBHA in the first stitch. Then continue knitting 1PBHA in each stitch of the previous row repeat until you have 25 rows knitted. • Position the measuring tape horizontally on your fabric and on each sample count how many stitches fit in 10 cm. Then place it vertically on each sample, and count how many rows fit in 10 cm.
Check that the thickness of your yarn is similar to that used in the original design and that you are knitting with the correct tension on both samples. If the tension is different for you, try increasing or lowering the crochet number accordingly.

Cardi Glam (versión en español)
Este diseño es perfecto para lucir en ocasiones especiales. Ideal para complementar con un pantalón o falda de tiro alto, el Cardi Glam es un chaleco crop, ceñido al cuerpo, de mangas ¾ y hombreras en relieve con una cuota de brillo.

Para construir tu Cardi Glam, tendrás que tejer siete piezas separadas, que finalmente irán unidas con aguja lanera a través de una costura especial. El cuerpo consta de cinco rectángulos realizados en puntos sencillos. Las hombreras, tejidas en Punto Cocodrilo, aportan un toque final distinto a través de su forma triangular, textura y brillo.

La estructura se complementa, además, con los botones: te enseñaré a calcular distancias para ubicarlos en el lugar perfecto y lograr que tu chaleco se termine de ajustar en forma precisa.
Con este patrón te enseño a obtener las medidas clave de tu cuerpo, con las que comenzarás a tejer una prenda especialmente adaptada a ti. Si bien el patrón incluye una tabla con seis tallas, te iré mostrando cómo tomar tus medidas en todo momento, sin seguir tallas específicas.

Como siempre, quise reunir un montón de técnicas y aprendizajes en un solo proyecto. La idea es que, a través de él, logres lucir tu trabajo y la calidad de los hilados que elijas, y que el resultado obtenido te haga sentir una tejedora aún más orgullosa.

Nivel de dificultad: Intermedio. El patrón incluye instrucciones detalladas, diagramas y videos de apoyo.

Técnicas requeridas: Puntos básicos de crochet, tejido en plano, puntos en relieve y fantasía, además de medir el cuerpo.

Hilados utilizados:
• CC1 / Merino Superwash DK Casasol, color Gris Acero (100% Merino SW de 19 micras), 100 gramos (3.0 onzas) – 200 metros (218 yardas).
• CC2 / Hilo Glitter Casasol de un cabo en grosor Lace, color Plata (100% Fibra Metálica), 10 gramos (0.35 onzas) – 125 metros (136 yardas). Ambos hilados se tejen juntos para la realización de las hombreras.

Grosor del hilado principal: DK.

Cantidad necesaria para cada talla:
• CC1: XS (800 metros / 875 yardas), S (800 metros / 875 yardas), M (1200 metros / 1312 yardas), L (1600 metros / 1750 yardas), XL (2000 metros / 2187 yardas), 2XL (2200 metros / 2405 yardas).
• CC2: 1 bobina pequeña de 10 gramos (0.35 onzas) y 125 metros (136 yardas). Este hilado se usa junto con el hilado principal en la realización de las hombreras. Puedes sustituirlo por cualquiera brillante en grosor lace, o sencillamente tejer las hombreras con hilado brillante de grosor DK.

Crochet requerido: 5 mm.

Otras herramientas y materiales: cinta métrica, aguja lanera, marcadores de punto, tijeras, 5 botones de 12 mm. (0.5 pulgadas).

Muestra de tensión: Para este diseño, lo ideal es que realices dos muestras de tensión, en dos puntos diferentes.

La primera corresponde a 14 puntos x 12 filas = 10 x 10 centímetros (4x4 pulgadas aproximadamente).

La segunda debe ser de 13 puntos x 19 filas = 10x10 centímetros (4x4 pulgadas aproximadamente).
Muestra 1: Haz 20C y teje 1PMA en la tercera cadeneta desde el crochet. Después teje 1PMA en cada cadeneta siguiente, hasta finalizar la fila. Voltea el tejido, haz 1C y 1PMA en el primer punto. Luego sigue tejiendo 1PMA en cada punto de la fila anterior repite hasta tener 15 filas tejidas. • Muestra 2: Haz 20C y teje 1PB en la segunda cadeneta desde el crochet. Después teje 1PB en cada cadeneta siguiente, hasta finalizar la fila. Voltea el tejido, haz 1C y 1PBHA en el primer punto. Luego sigue tejiendo 1PBHA en cada punto de la fila anterior repite hasta tener 25 filas tejidas. • Posiciona la cinta métrica sobre tu tejido de forma horizontal y en cada muestra cuenta cuántos puntos caben en 10 cm. Luego posiciónala de forma vertical sobre cada muestra, y cuenta cuántas filas caben en 10 cm.
Comprueba que el grosor de tu hilado sea similar al utilizado en el diseño original y que estés tejiendo con la tensión adecuada en ambas muestras. Si la tensión te queda diferente, prueba subir o bajar el número de crochet según corresponda.
