Cardiff Cable Rib Scarf and Cowl
The Cardiff Cable Rib Scarf has classic intertwining cables and ribbing with double slipped stitch edging. The matching cowl alternates the pattern repeats for a slightly different design.
The skill level is advanced beginner and above. Knowledge of cables, slipped stitches, and knitting in-the-round (for cowl) is all that is needed. The pattern is both written and charted for the scarf; however, the cowl is charted only. Charted left and right cables are color-coded for easy interpretation.
Both the scarf and cowl are relatively quick and easy to knit using heavy worsted/aran or bulky yarns. The pieces can be made for either male or female making them great ideas for gift-giving.
