The ‘skirt’ here is actually belled (contrary to the schematic): the double garter row detail at the sides, and mirrored on the back, sits on top of a lot of K2tog’s. Choose either the crew neck or the shawl-collared V neck; the sleeves are set in and shoulders sloped on both versions. A simple 3/3 rib borders all edges. Interestingly, the shawl collar version takes one fewer button than the crew neck version-- something to keep in mind if you hate working buttonholes. This is a very classic shape that would look well in all manner and styles of yarn.
