Conceived as a weekend piece to combine with jeans and a simple top, the Concón cardigan has a retro yet contemporary look. The relaxed silhouette and dropped shoulder give it a casual and cozy style. The classic houndstooth stitch pattern takes on a bold look thanks to an unexpected mix of colors.

The back and fronts of the cardigan are worked top-down, back and forth, and then joined below the armholes. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the body and worked in the round, from the armhole down to the cuff. Cuffs and body hems are worked in garter stitch.

The front bands and collar are worked in a single piece, also in garter stitch. Stitches are picked up along the front edges and neck with smaller needles. The shawl collar is shaped with short rows and bound off with a stretchy bind-off technique.

Techniques used:
Provisional cast-on, colorwork, picking up stitches, short rows, single decreases, decrease bind-off.
