The Dolly cardigan is worked from the top down. Shoulders are shaped with short rows to create soft drape. Cuffs, collar and button bands are worked in DK weight yarn and the body in a boucle yarn, giving the sweater contrast.

Recommended needles

6 mm/US 10 needles for the body.
5 mm/US 8 needles, or 1 mm smaller for the button band. 4.5 mm/ US 7 or 1.5 mm smaller for the collar.

10 sts x 19 rows = 10 cm/4” in st st (blocked) holding 2 strands together on 6 mm/US 10 needles (or size needle to obtain gauge)
