Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm, 4in, over stocking stitch using 4mm needles, or the size required to give the correct tension.

If there are less sts and rows to 10cm, 4in, change to finer needles if there are more sts and rows to 10cm, 4in, change to larger needles.

Notes: Instructions are given for 56cm, 22in (2-3 years), larger sizes are given in square brackets.
