ABOUT: The Carefree Cardigan is a timeless, Tunisian crochet layer that is relaxing to make and fun to wear! It features a classic V-neckline, relaxed drop shoulders, and beautiful texture.

The pattern includes easy to follow, row-by-row, color coded instructions for 9 sizes, example photos/diagrams, and options like: puff or fitted sleeves, buttons, & base ribbing. PLUS, I included made to measure instructions just in case you didn’t want to meet my gauge or wanted to use a different weight yarn!

CONSTRUCTION: The body panels are worked separately from the bottom-up while the sleeves are worked off of the body panels from the top-down.

MATERIALS NEEDED
HOOK: 8 mm Tunisian crochet hook with 10” cord (or hook needed to obtain gauge)
YARN: Approx. 695 (825, 935, 1010, 1120) (1235, 1320, 1435, 1490) yards of Arabella by Yarn Bee (Great substitutions include: Homespun by Lion Brand Yarn, Soft & Sleek Chunky by Yarn Bee, Hue + Me by Lion Brand Yarn, or any aran/bulky weight yarn)
NOTIONS: threading needle, scissors, tape measure, st markers, optional: 4-5 buttons (40 mm)

GAUGE: 13 tss x 9 rows = 4” x 4” (with 8 mm hook)
ROW 1: ch 13, place hook under 1 loop of next ch, y/o, pull up a loop, repeat ** across, RetP – 13 sts
ROW 2: tss across, RetP – 13 sts
