With Caresse, you submit to the elegant and tasteful flair of French couture. Orlane Sucche has created this feminine design for our Lovely Merino Treat. The exquisite cardigan pays homage to your feminity through its form and the adorable combination of lace and cables. The ¾ sleeves accentuate the delicacy of the wrists, and the soft grey of our Moods colour Pufferfish shimmers in subtle lightness. Caresse unfolds its beauty especially together with dresses. Though in other combinations and colours, we find it equally irresistible. Caresse is an interesting but easy knit and can be adapted precisely to your wishes.

Caresse is knitted from the top down. Starting with the neckline, you shape it with short rows. Evenly distributed increases give form to the yoke section in stockinette stitch. Subsequently, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold whilst you complete the body, enjoying the beautiful, easy-to-knit lace pattern. You can knit the lace and cable sections following the written instructions or the charts. The sleeves are knitted in the round, and you can choose between ¾ sleeves and long sleeves. Eventually, you pick up stitches along the front edges to knit the front bands with two optional buttonholes.

Caresse was designed for our 2021 collection, to which Rosy gave the theme of touch. This year, we have all become particularly aware of the importance of interpersonal closeness and touch. More and more, however, it is also becoming clear that we belong together worldwide and that what happens on the other side of the globe also touches us. The names of our patterns express this in different languages. Caresse means caress in French, too.
