This is the last pattern of autumn before winter sweaters! It way be work with wool, alpaca, cotton or any fingering yarn

Three Carex plants are protected in Dordogne. This new top is named after one of them, Carex muricata whose inflorescences mimic the lace panel on the front of the pattern.
Carex is worked top down, seamlessly.
Starting with a provisional cast on, stitches are increased progressively at the front to shape the neckline. Then the yoke is worked in the round. The lace panel is worked at the same time as the raglan. After dividing body and sleeves, the body is worked straight in the round. Finally stitches are picked up at the neckline and at the sleeve hem, to work a textured edging.
