The cowl knits up very quickly and has a very distinctive pattern. This is a lace pattern that is easy for the beginner, but complicated enough to keep the interest of an experienced knitter.

The stitch pattern also looks intricate and pleasing to the eye.

I used Wisdom Poems sock yarn, double stranded throughout, but this would work equally well with a sport weight yarn. If using a sport weight only knit with one strand.
