About the design:
The Carl Sweater is worked from the bottom and up holding two strands of yarn together (1 strand Yaku and 1 strand Tynd Lamauld). The sweater is worked in the round in stockinette stitch except from a given number of stiches in the front that are worked in pattern. The neck is raised with German short rows.
Finished measurements:
Sizes: 1 (2) 4 (6) 8 (10) 12 Years.
Chest: approx. 64 (66) 71 (75) 80 (84) 89 cm.
Body length: approx. 24.5 (26.5) 28.5 (32.5) 35.5 (38.5) 41.5 cm.
Suggested yarn and yardage:
Yaku 100% merinowool from CaMaRose, 200m / 50 g, together with Tynd Lamauld, 50% Lamawool / 50 % Wool, from CaMaRose, 220m / 50g.
2 (3) 3 (3) 4 (4) 5 skeins of each yarn, 4 (6) 6 (6) 8 (8) 10 skeins in total.
Suggested needles:
Circular needle sizes: 5.0mm, 60, 80 og 100 cm. 4.5mm, 60 cm and 4.0mm 60 cm.
Double pointed needles (dpns) sizes: 4.0mm, 4.5mm and 5.0mm.
Gauge:
Needle Size 5.0 mm in stockinette stitch, 18 sts x 25 rounds = 10 x 10 cm.
