CARLA NOBLE - a beautiful and cosy striped jumper with drop-shoulder sleeves in a textured pattern in DK-weight cotton for the bairns. To work in rounds until armhole OR, if you prefer, you can work flat the whole body. For the sleeves to pick up stitches along armhole OR to work the sleeves separately and then join in. Both types are worked flat. There are 2 versions - both enclosed in the pattern.
Also a nice design plain coloured. In boyish colour-ways it’s called CARLO.

Length: 34 cm - 40 cm - 46 cm - 50 cm - 54 cm (in: 13½ - 15¾ - 18 - 19¾ - 21¼).
Yarn used for the original: Cablé, 100 % mercerised Egyptian cotton from Campolmi Roberto Filati in Florence, Italy. To use in total 300 - 350 - 400 - 450 - 500 g divided for version 1 in 200 - 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 g in col. A (main col.), 50 g col. B (cuffs/stripes) and 50 g col. C (collar/welt).
For version 2 the division is 150 - 150 - 200 - 200 - 250 g in col. A (body), 100 - 100 - 100 - 150 - 150 g in col. B (collar & sleeves/stripes) and 50 g in col. C (welt/stripes).
For a plain coloured version to use 50 - 75 g less.
Meterage of the cotton: 100 g = 250 meters (DK-weight).
Needles: and circular needles (double pointed) no 2½ mm and 3½ mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st: 22 sts on needles no 3½ mm = 10 cm (4 in).
