Intermediate colorwork sock pattern.
Craft Type: Knitting
Needles: 2.5mm 9’ circs, DPNs or magic loop or size needed to obtain gauge
Skill Level: Intermediate (should have some knowledge of sock construction)
Gauge (1 x 1”): 7 sts x 11 rows in stockinette, in the round
Yarn Weight: Fingering (1), in two high contrast colors
Size small :30g MC/15G CC• 120/60 yds
Medium :45g MC/20G CC• 160/70 yds
Large: :60g MC/25G CC• 280/90 yds
Notions:
Scissors
Stitch marker x 2
Darning needle
Sizes:
APPROX.
Small: to fit a foot circumference of 7.5”-8”
Medium: to fit a foot circumference of 8.5”-9”
Large: to fit a foot circumference of 9”-9.5”
Featuring:
* colorwork on both the leg and foot
heel flap and gusset.
You can substitute in your preferred heel type if you like, you may just have to play around with the placement of the foot colorwork section.
I used self striping yarn for my contract color, but feel free to use a solid or variegated yarn.
Just make sure the two colorways have high contrast so you will be able to clearly see the colorwork pattern.
Pattern is written for 9” circular’s. Again feel free to use your preferred sock knitting method.
