Carma is a crew-neck, hip-length lace cardigan, short-sleeved with a lace insert. Perfect for over a summer sundress or camisole top. It is named for my friend Carma, who taught me so much about knitting and life in general.

Yarn: Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock, 100% Superwash merino wool, 400 yard/4 ozs skein. 2[2, 3, 3, 4, 5] skeins. Sample knit in Anacostia.

Needles: US size 6/4.00mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle)

Gauge: 20 stitches/24 rows per 4” in stockinette stitch, worked flat and blocked
