Gauge was taken after blocking.
Final Dimensions 57 inches wide by 21 inches deep.
Original used slightly over 1 and 1/2 skeins of Sea Silk fingering weight.
Size can be increased or decreased by modifying the number of row repeats.
Difficulty - Intermediate to Advanced
Requires ability to read charts. There are some triple decreases.
The Carnation Shawl is a semi-circular lace shawl that begins at the center back of the neck and grows organically from leaves and flower buds to abundant petals and a lace edge. Sections of the shawl use knit stitches against a purl background to add texture and emphasize the pattern.
