Sweater is knit flat from the neck down, utilizing the raglan technique for seamless construction. Skirt is knit from the waist down, in the round on either short circular needles or double point needles.
This pattern takes a little more attention to follow, but with care can be accomplished by an advanced beginner knitter who knows how to read patterns and how to look up help when needed.
