Nothing beats a thick warm headband in the thick of Winter- it’s perfect for keeping your ears warm without having to worry about dreaded hat hair! I love wearing this for popping into shops whilst Christmas shopping, and not having to constantly whip it on and off with the temperature changes, but it’s also versatile enough that it will still look appropriate past the festive period. I chose a bold monochrome palette of black, grey and white, but this headband would look stunning in a variety of colours or tones and makes a great stash buster!

One side has a bold Scandinavian inspired snowflake, whilst the reverse has a simple Fairisle motif of diamonds and stars.

The headband is simple to knit- perfect for those new to starbded colourwork but for enough interest for experienced knitters also!
The pattern is fully edited and contains a combination of easy to read charts and written instructions.

The Carnethy Headband is knit in the round in one piece. A purl row creates a natural fold in the fabric between the front and reverse sides. After casting off, the two edges are grafted together.
