Carnival Cowlette
Sparkles and stripes, sunny yellows and candy pinks- this cowlette brings all the fun of the circus to your needles! Each stitch pattern is specially chosen to showcase a unique yarn from Unidled Hands, from a crisscrossing slip stitch that piles on the glitter in Digknitty, to a modified stockinette that maximizes the texture of slubby Charm, to a simple lace that blocks out beautifully in naturalistic Wisdom. The finished cowlette features a narrow neck opening that gradually flares out, for a fit that stays put where you want it and the look of a shawl with less bulk. Find the Carnival Cowlette Kit at The Yarn Patch in Crossville, Tennessee or online!
Notes: Knit your swatch using Yarn C. It’s the yarn which you will use the least yardage of- you don’t want to risk running short of the others! Also, the gauge for this pattern is only a suggestion. Your actual gauge will vary widely with the stitch patterns. Don’t worry- the Garter Stitch Transitions include increases and decreases to accommodate this! Especially during the slip stitch sections, it is better to be a little loose than too tight.
