What to use for this pattern:

I use 300 grams of handspun singles in
Merino, BFL, and Falkland with a hint of Silk on needles size 6 mm / US 10 circular needles with a 125 cm / 50-inch cable.

You can use bits and pieces of leftover yarns, handspun, art yarns etc.
Gauge does not matter with this shawl, but you do want the fabric to be drapey, just adjust the needle accordingly.

This pattern is really more of a formula to free-form knit as you see fit.
Here are a few free-form tips:
When using a thicker art yarn stockinette stitch will make the texture stick out.
Using garter stitch with thinner yarns will give the shawl more body.
When changing yarns changing to a purl row will add more definition to the yarn and color change.

This basic triangle shawl is designed to be used with Star Fiber Studio yarns but is an awesome pattern for clearing out project leftovers in your stash.
