Carnival Stripes includes a mere sixteen shades of Red Heart 4 Ply Handknitting yarn. Each row is worked in a different color and there is no set color pattern. When arranging colors, simply group color families together.
Size: About 54” x 80”, including border
Materials: Coats & Clark Red Heart 4 ply handknitting yarn
- 3 (3 ½ ounce) skeins each of Black and Paddy Green
- 1 skein each of Pale Rose, Grenadine, Berry, Scarlet, Maize, Dark Gold, Rust, Orange, Yellow, Mist Green, Mint Julep, Blue Jewel, Skipper Blue, and Lavender
- Aluminum crochet hook, size I
Gauge: (Sc, Ch 1) 2 times = 1”
Color Pattern: Each row is worked in a different color and there is no set color pattern. When arranging color, group color families together.
For example: 1 row each Pale Rose, Berry, Genadine, Scarlet. In this manner, groupings of blue/green, blue/lavender, yellow/orange, yellow/green can be arranged.
Work 4 or 5 rows of these bright colors, then work 1 row Paddy Green followed by 1 row Black. Repeat this color sequence throughout.
