One of our goals is to improve inclusion and representativeness through these dolls and that’s why EACH profession has TWO body patterns. As well, some dolls have specific characteristics as vitiligo, down syndrome and colostomy bag. Once you learned how to do it, you may reproduce it in any of the other dolls.

Moreover, all the hair styles and heads are interchangeable between the amigurumis. Also, you may use wire to make them poseable and we added detailed instructions of how to do a wire skeleton for the dolls. Their heads are moveable without wire and they may turn to any side you want. There are many clothe styles, accessories and hairs and you may interchange them between the dolls.

Niara and Carol are chefs. Niara creates sweets as delicious as a tight hug. Carol is a pizza chef and makes the best tomato sauce you could ever taste.

The two met in a Culinary course and share not only the love for food, but also some not so common traits. For example, Carol’s hair is orange while Niara’s hair has pink ends and both girls have an alteration in their 21st chromosome, also known as Down Syndrome. But what would that be? In our body we have several chromosomes, which look like “little x’s”. They stay in pairs and define our characteristics, such as having brown or green eyes, black or white skin, a big nose, little ears, being thin or plump.

Carol and Niara have one extra chromosome in their number 21 pair, that is, instead of two “little x’s”, there are three. That is why they have almond shaped eyes, lower ears, shorter necks and flatter nose.

Their love for food started early. Since she was a little girl, Niara was delighted to observe the union and joy that Sunday lunches brought to her family. Carol was fascinated by trying new flavors and loved to play with pieces of dough while her grandmother prepared a special pasta. To become chefs, they had to study hard and overcome several challenges, facing not only prejudice for their differences, but also for being women in a male dominated profession. Their determination exists because they believe in their ability and know that, for them, there are no limits.

Today, Niara owns a cake shop, while Carol is a chef in a famous pizza restaurant. Every day they face new challenges with love and determination to make their dreams come true, always seeking a more inclusive society.
