This cardigan is made up of 5 separate panels: 1 back panel, 2 front panels, and 2 sleeve panels. Each panel is constructed ‘sideways’ meaning that the first row determines the length of the panel, and each additional row makes the panel wider. The 2 sleeve panels are identical but the 2 front panels are worked differently to ensure that they are symmetrical. The 5 panels are then sewn together to form the body of the cardigan and a button band is crocheted along the edge of the cardigan.

SIZING
This pattern comes with instructions for 9 sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) ranging from bust circumferences of 28-62 in 71-158 cm. The cardigan is designed to have approximately 8-10 in 20.25-20.5 cm of positive ease. The size guide and measurements for the cardigan itself can be found within the pattern.

180 yds 165 m / 1.8 oz 50 g
held with Hobbii Friends Kid Silk
218 yds 200 m / 0.9 oz 25 g
(other suggested yarns include Katia Merino Baby, Lana Grossa Merino Superiore, or Drops Baby Merino held with Drops Kid Silk, Debbie Bliss Angel, or Mayflower Super Kid Silk, but a single strand of DK weight yarn should work)
Hook: G/4.25 mm crochet hook or any other hook needed to obtain the gauge
Other: 4 x 20-24 mm buttons, stitch markers, darning needle, scissors, tape measure
