The Carolina Promenade, aka The Gay Gordons, is one of the best known English country dances. An easy circle dance in which dancers change partners after each full sequence of easy steps, it’s a crowd pleaser that can be performed with dancers of all ages. This convertible wrap is inspired by the simplicity of the Carolina Promenade, with its rectangular shape and bold, fun leaf lace pattern. Mimicking the constant change of partners, the double button bands can be configured in several ways to offer numerous styling options. Worsted weight yarn at a flowy gauge makes this a quick knit—like its namesake, it’ll be finished before you know it (and maybe while you’re still wanting more!)
Pattern has been tech edited and tested. Lace is charted only.
