Carol's Ringwood Hat
Project Description: This wonderfully textured, thick and stretchy hat features baby cable ribbing on the tubular brim. The stitch pattern on the hat is called ‘Ringwood’ after the town of Ringwood, Hampshire, UK, in which Victorian gloves were hand knit by the residents using this stitch pattern and sold commercially until the mid-20th century. The waffle-like texture is interesting visually and makes a nice thick, stretchy hat! Written for two sizes and for two styles, slouchy or beanie. The ribbed brim can be folded up or left down. A matching mitten pattern is also available, Carol’s Ringwood Mittens.
