Carolyn Wrap was designed for Speckled Finch Studios’ 2022 Advent calendar yarn set.

Carolyn Wrap is a rectangular wrap worked in garter stitch, stockinette stitch, and lace. Each finished edge is an integrated i-cord and wraps yarn carried up one edge.

This wrap is designed to use 24 mini skeins of fingering weight yarn, specifically Advent calendars, with a minimum yardage of 54 (68) yds/49 (62) m per mini skein. If using Advent calendars, use the colors in the order they’re unwrapped or wait until they’re all unwrapped to arrange the mini skeins in any order you’d like. There are so many yarn possibilities. Use a main color with mini skeins. Try a few coordinating gradient skeins – the skeins can be switched as written or use all the yarn in each skein one at a time. Or keep it simple by using a single color for the entire wrap – solid, tonal, lightly speckled would all work. This is a great project to use leftover yarns.

Extra yarn is included in the yarn requirement. Gauge is not critical for this pattern, however, a different gauge will affect the size of your wrap and the amount of yarn used.
