Carolyn's Even Granny Blanket
This is a variation of the stitch used in Granny Squares made evenly (instead of alternating placement of blocks) and in rows from side to side using a post stitch in the center of the block to give a raised or ribbed effect every group of 6 rows.
Number of skeins depends on the size and color pattern you choose. To use one color and blanket size about 45” x 60”, I would say between 7-8 skeins of yarn.
UPDATE: So I’m working the color pattern on the last page and realized the chart of rows by color for that particular option is incorrect. I will add an addendum to correct it. Apologize for the error.
ADDING NOTE TO INDICATE THIS AS AN EASY PATTERN.
3/31/23. Added an updated version of pattern that includes a second border option as well as additional striping pattern.
