On my first work reintegration during the recovery from my first Sulcus Ulnaris surgery I saw from my bus a poster from a local festival and there was a carousel horse on it in blue and white. It caught my attention and I couldn’t get it out of my head until this beanie was done.

It is not completely real fair isle because it has 4 rows with 3 colors.
However, it is not too difficult to knit.

It has a two color ribbing, followed by a little border pattern simulating a carousel bottom, then come the carousel horses and the same pattern again. The top looks carousel like in two colors.

You can knit it in 4 to 5-ply Acrylic, Merino or sock yarn.
It will also look great in other color choices.

Bei meiner Belastungserprobung hab ich vom Bus aus ein Poster mit einem weißen Pferdekarussell für eine Kerwa gesehen. Damals war auch noch Busstreik!
Das Bild ging mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf und ich musste diese Mütze für Kinder einfach machen.

Sie kann in 4 - bis 5-fach Garn (Merino, Acryl, Sockenwolle) gestrickt werden.
Es ist diesmal kein reines Fair Isle weil die Mütze 4 Runden mit 4 Farben hat. Aber sie ist auch nicht allzu schwer zu stricken.
