Here is a mostly seamless top-down a-line dress with puff sleeves and ruffled picot edging, featuring an intarsia carousel horse, a slip-stitch swirl pattern on the skirt, and a stranded ribbons-and-dots pattern around the bottom.

You could change needle size and yarn to make a larger or smaller size or use the color work charts in your own creation -- a different dress, a sweater, a pillow / cushion… Perhaps someday I’ll learn how to grade patterns for different sizes.

I made mine with yarn from thrifted sweaters. One adult sweater yielded more than enough of the light brown, and scraps from another project were enough for the color work -- except I ran out of dark pink before finishing the neck!
