Designed for the Malabrigo Quickies pattern program, the unisex Carrasco Cowl uses knits, purls, and slipped stitches to create a simple texture that works with both the muted tonal and signature variegated hues of Malabrigo Yarn’s sportweight Arroyo yarn. A subtle flare built into the cowl base helps it sit nicely around the neck, and an optional button detail creates additional interest.

Carrasco is an upscale barrio in Montevideo, Uruguay, the home of Malabrigo Yarn. In a touch of serendipity, I discovered after choosing the name that the cowl’s stitch pattern is highly reminiscent of the historic Hotel Carrasco’s façade.

This pattern contains both fully charted and written instructions.
