Squares are made separately in a stripe-and-chevron pattern, making this a fine on-the-go project. The squares are sewn together, alternating their directions. An easy cable border is attached later to frame this knitted treasure.

Jo Sharp 8-Ply DK (1.75 oz/50g):

• 4 balls of #319 violet (A)
• 1 ball of #327 navy (B)
• 1 ball of #307 wine (C)
• 1 ball of #316 jade (D)
• 1 ball of #318 forest (E)
• 1 ball of #326 ruby (F)

OTHER MATERIALS:

• US 5 (3.75 mm) needles
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle (for sewing up after)

GAUGE:
31 sts x 39 rows to 5 inches (12.5 cm) over Chevron patt., using size 5 (3.75 mm) needles
