Finished Size:
Small: Base of the bag is 7 inches in diameter and 10.5 inches in height from bottom to top of bag without handles.
Large: Base of the bag is 9.5 inches in diameter and 11.8 inches in height from bottom to top of bag without handles.

Inspired by some of the lovely market bags this is an alternative version that doesn’t stretch or slouch or loose shape because of how the openwork is created as well as a hard bottom that helps it
keep its shape. You can make this in either the small size which is perfect as a project or a lunch bag or the large size which is perfect as a market bag.

Instructions are given to make a hard base for the bag which is optional and how to increase the size to make it larger than large.

If you use 2 strands of sport yarn held together you will need around 400 m. If you use worsted weight for the large bag you will need 300 m.
