Carseat Blanket
This small baby blanket is quick to knit and makes a lovely and useful baby gift, as it is just the right size to tuck around an infant in a carseat.
The pattern offers instructions for making either a bulky-weight blanket (in Aslan Trends Guanaco) or a lighter blanket that uses two strands of fingering-weight yarn held together (Hand Jive Knits Nature’s Palette Fingering).
Yarns of many different weights may be substituted so long as the stitch count for the center portion remains a multiple of 2 plus 4 stitches and the instructions for picking up stitches for the edging are adjusted accordingly.
