With a little bit of effort this scarf can be accomplished by an adventurous beginning knitter. The finished scarf measures 53” long by 13 3/4” wide. Despite using some plain sock yarn, the finished scarf feels very luxurious and looks very elegant.
The scarf is knitted from one end to other in one piece. To prepare, the cable pattern yarn must be divided into 2 balls.

Lace pattern yarn (LY): 100g hand dyed Westfalenwolle, 4-ply and Cable pattern yarn (CY): 100g Opal sock yarn 4-fach (75% virgin wool/25% polyamide) in color smoke

Gauge:
26 sts x 30 Rs = 4 x 4 inches in lace pattern, after blocking

Fuer einen fortgeschrittenen Anfänger laesst sich dieses Lochmuster und die Zoepfe fast muehelos stricken. Der fertige Schal ist 135 cm lang und 35 cm breit. Trotz der verwendeted Sockenwolle fuehlt sich dieser Schal zweifellos sehr luxurioeus an and sieht auch besonders elegant aus. Der Schal wird in einem Stueck gestrickt. Zur Vorbereitung das Garn fuer das Zopfmuster in 2 Knaeuel trennen. Das Lochmuster ist in Tabellenform angegeben
