Cascada (Spanish for “waterfall”)is a reversible waterfall vest with a long and short side created of right and left leaning diagonal mesh. The points created by the stitches form an elegant edge. Many different looks can be achieved by playing with the draping, pinning and switching between the long and short side. This is written in such a way as to have both right sides facing when wearing. Flip to the reverse sides and both will face the side you are wearing.
If you like the Lagenlook style of clothing, Cascada makes a great addition to your wardrobe.
You can create any size you desire or use any weight or type of yarn from the “plug your own numbers in” instructions. Simply use an even number of stitches and follow the instructions for each row, plugging in the numbers for your Cascada. The instructions as written will give a 54” wide (cast on and bind off edge) and “ (points edge). The model made in James C. Brett Marble Chunky “Rainforest” colorway.
