Cascadia is worked with a top-down, seamless construction with long sleeves and turned-back cuffs. The yoke features stranded colourwork worked flat and a garter stitch shawl collar created with short rows. The wraps in the short rows are not picked up to create a decorative feature, but you can use any type of short row that you prefer instead.

I knit 2 versions of the cardigan: Ram Jam (brown, longer body and bigger shawl collar) and Pumpkin Spice (orange, cropped and smaller collar). I made notes on the differences on the project pages.

Stranded colourwork can be a bit tricky to work flat, but this pattern is designed so that you work each colourwork row twice: once on the right side, and the same row on the wrong side. It is helpful to swatch a little bit of the stranded pattern first if you are not experienced with the technique.
