What sounds and sights give you a feeling of peace and tranquillity? A light tropical breeze? A warm and sudden downpour? Or perhaps the sound of water gently flowing down a series of vertical drops into a stream. The Cascading Falls Cowl uses a combination of stitches to create a pattern that imitates one of my favourite landscapes. It is thick and warm, yet breathable, and can be easily customised to any size.
This is an intermediate level pattern. Photo tutorials are included.
The pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. It comes in small and large; however, the size may be increased or decreased, as desired.
Dimensions:
Small: 7.5” (18.5 cm) x 23” (58.5 cm) or 11.5” (29 cm) wide laid flat
Large: 11.5” (29 cm) x 32” (81 cm) or 15” (38 cm) wide laid flat
Here’s what you’ll need:
Hook: 10 mm and 15 mm hook (or whatever hooks meet gauge)
Yarn: Approximately 90 to 225 yards of super bulky (#6) yarn.
I used 1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta for the small and 2 for the large; however, testers used varying amounts of other yarns.
