Cascading Strands Scarf
I saw this concept as a knitted piece, but had no idea of who the author was. As I couldn’t find the knitted pattern on Ravelry, I noted an adaptation for crochet. It is a simple pattern, in chain stitches and single crochet. It works up quickly and makes a great gift.
This simple scarf is wrapped around the neck like a choker, with a cascade of strands of yarn. Works best with yarns with some bulk, although you could have fun playing with this idea with other yarn weights. Instructions call for using a bulky weight yarn and an accent thread. You could vary this by using 2 different yarns of equal weights, or using ribbon instead of thread, etc.
A wonderful way to use and enjoy leftover luxury yarn. Your finished size should …wrap around your neck comfortably! Refer to the photos for the general idea.
Note - this has not been tested, and you may want to vary the size / stitch count. Please feel free to PM me if something doesn’t make sense.
Enjoy, and wear it with an attitude!
