I often have an affinity for sampler- style shawls, and when I think of the different elements along the coastline where I live, with their different hues and textures, it seemed like a perfect fit for this shawl. The garter stitch cloudless blue sky, to the waves of the ocean, to the geometric rocky coastline, to the textured sand.

This shawl was designed to use a miniskein set from Four Hearts Farm Mainely Fiber, but is easily customized to use up whatever amount of yarn you happen to have, by working more or less repeats of each section!
