My life has been touched by cancer in many ways. My sister lost her battle with lung and brain cancer 8 years ago and left 3 precious triplet girls. Now 14 years old, I had a chance to spend some time with my wonderful nieces this past spring. Not identical, each one carries with her a part of my sister I cherish. Together, they are my sister. I designed Cassie, Jeannie, and Chelsea both as a celebration of my sister and as a way to help find a cure for such an insidious disease.*
These warm and cozy mittens feature an interesting textured pattern on the back of the hand and a stockinette palm. Beginning with a twisted rib and ending with decreases worked right into the pattern these mittens will work up so quickly you will want to make several pairs.
Instructions include a fingerless mitt version as well.
