Cassiopeia Hat
The Cassiopeia Hat is knitted bottom up with a thick triple folded stockinette brim and all over cables on the part that sits directly against the head. The decreases at the crown are done within the cables for a seamless finish.
The pattern also includes instructions for how to embroider the constellation Cassiopeia onto the brim.
Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5
Brim circumference: 46,5 (48,5) 50,5 (52,5) 54,5 cm
To fit a head circumference of: 51-52 (53-54) 55-56 (57-58) 59-60 cm
Gauge: 19 sts x 37 rows in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles after washing.
Recommended needles: 4 mm circular needles (40 cm), 4 mm double pointed needles (or use magic loop) and a cable needle.
Recommended yarn: 2 (2) 2 (2) 3 skeins of Mayflower Santiago (50 g = 150 m), 2 (2) 3 (3) 3 skeins of Mode at Rowan Softest Alpaca (50 g = 130 m) OR 2 (3) 3 (3) 3 skeins of CaMaRose Snefnug (50 g = 110 m)
Additional materials: stitch markers (1 for BOR and 4 for decreases) and optionally some embroidery thread or scrap yarn for the embroidered constellation on the brim.
