Castaways
Castaways is part of my Castaway Bundle: Buy this and the Castaway Shores shawl for $10. Automatically reduced in cart, Past purchases eligible.
Castaways is a very feminine, floaty, easy wearing tee. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. It starts out with a separate back worked in the flat, and then the front to the arm holes. The fronts and backs are joined to work top down in the round to the garter, eyelet and twisted rib shell motifs that adorn the graceful hem, finished with JST’s loopy eyelet bind off.
Castaways is knit using the beautifully silky Emma’s Yarn, Super Silky, on slightly larger needles making it a great lightweight, easy to wear top.
I cast on Castaways on a small ferry ride off the coast of Croatia last summer on the way to a beautiful rustic island in the middle of the Adriatic Sea. I hope this little summer tee takes you on an adventure too!

Construction Notes:
Castaways is worked in one piece, from the top down. Commencing with the back and then front neck, worked in the flat back and forth until arm holes are created. It is then joined in the round and knit down to the deep garter and shell motif hem. You can shorten/ lengthen this garment by knitting less/ more body length before commencing the hem.
Try on as you go and adjust accordingly. Please note that extra yarn will be required if you knit the body length longer.
The neck band is worked by picking up neckline sts. Sleeves in similar fashion.
