Castle on a Cloud Shawl
The Castle on a Cloud is a wish and a dream - a place where no one is lonely and no one has reason to cry, where adults and children are treated with kindness, dignity, respect, and love.
There are days when the castle seems unattainable, when the news headlines make it clear that we as a society need to do better. The Castle on a Cloud Shawl was designed with the hope that we will do better, that we will celebrate diversity of color and work to create a world where the castle doesn’t seem quite so far away. And it’s a reminder that even when we head downwards, and no matter how far down we go, we have the ability to work our way back up.
The shawl starts at one end and increases downwards towards the center. It then decreases back to the other end to create a symmetrical triangle that is wide and shallow. The pattern is fully adjustable and includes instructions for making the shawl larger/smaller and adjusting the colors in any way. It’s a practical, versatile piece - let it drape as a shawl, or wrap it around your neck as a scarf. It’s cozy enough to add warmth, but lacy and lightweight so it’s not too heavy.
