A cute hanging ornament for any cat (or mouse) lover.
Great for using up bits of scrap yarn. The colour and stripe combinations are endless!
If the top string is omitted, both the cat and mouse make great cat toys.

Size: Instructions are for one size, approximately 4-5 inches tall
Yarn: Approximately 25 yards of worsted weight yarn for the cat body and tail (I used a variety of Bernat super Value Solids worsted weight), 25 yards worsted weight yarn for the mouse body, and around 12 yards for the mouse inner ear and tail
8 yards fingering weight yarn for cat scarf
Needles: Set of 4mm (US 6) double pointed knitting needles
Gauge: 24 sts and 33 rows = 10cm in Stockinette st. You want to achieve a fairly tight gauge so that the white polyfill stuffing does not show through the stitches after the cat is stuffed.
Other Materials: half yard length of black or white fingering weight yarn or embroi- dery thread for eyes
handful of polyfill stuffing for the head and body
tapestry needle
6 inch strand of cord for hanging
