Cat Beanie
Keep in mind
There are countless patterns for cat beanies everywhere that come down to crocheting a simple rectangle and sewing it shut, leaving one wide opening at the bottom. I freehanded this one, but it’s so simple that there is a chance someone came up with something similar before I did so as well.
This pattern uses the American Crochet Terminology.
Hook size = 5mm
Yarn recommendation
Weight 2 double stranded (e.g. YarnArt Baby, Petalouda Standard, etc) about 220m or 240yds total (110m or 120yds each strand)
OR
Weight 4-5 single stranded (e.g. Kartopu Melange Wool, Kartopu Alpaca Polo, etc) about 100m or 110yds
Abbreviations
Ch - chain
St/sts - stitch/stitches
Dc - double crochet
Stsc - stacked single crochet
Dc2tog - double crochet 2 together (decrease)
Size of the finished beanie laying flat:
28cm wide x 18cm long (11” wide x 7” long)
