This written crochet pattern and photo tutorial is great for a beginner. The main thing is ensuring the stuffing cannot easily be pulled out.

I used an H-hook for the original, but if you crochet loosely, you may want to try an F or the middle ground with a G-hook.

On a shopping trip for Murray (pictured with the Cat Catnip Pouch Toy), I found some freshly dried organic catnip for a very good price, but didn’t have anything to put it in. The next morning, I woke enthused and made this quick pouch for him.

I needed the stuffing to be contained, but wanted him to feel like he was really “in for the kill” with the shape of it. Knowing the catnip would need to be replaced and with osteoarthritis, I would need to be able to put fresh catnip in easily without fussing.
