While it’s perfect for that everyday thoughtful handmade gift it’s also well suited for Easter baskets and Valentine’s Day projects. And while you’re at it, turn a few into keychains too!

PATTERN INFORMATION

• Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and helpful photographs to aid in construction.
• The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
• The pattern is formatted to have one featured image at the beginning of the pattern for reference with all other full-sized images at the end for easy, optional printing.

SKILLS NEEDED

• The skill level needed is beginner.
• The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, single crochet increase and decrease, and the adjustable (magic) ring.
• Hand embroidery is also used in this project.

MATERIALS NEEDED (more specifics are noted within the pattern)

• yarn in your choice of colors (about 35 yds/32 m of worsted/aran)
• a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
• stitch markers
• tapestry needle
• stuffing
• pins
• scissors
• embroidery floss
• embroidery needle
• chopstick to help stuff

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

• Using hook size E/4 (3.5 mm) and worsted yarn the Cat Egg measures approximately 3.25 inches (8.3 cm) tall including the ears.
• Using hook size 1.50 mm and size 10 crochet thread the Miniature Cat Egg measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.1 cm) tall.
