This little guy was inspired by my lovely cat!! I love everything cat related and at my potato pet series really needed a potato cat pattern! This is a very versatile pattern - used ricorumi cotton yarn, but you can also make a super large cat plushie using super soft cozy yarn. Basically any yarn works, which is great for using up odds and ends of yarn you may have left over.

I have included an image of our axolotl with the super cozy yarn, so you can see how this pattern works with chunky yarn and how this hand helf cat squishy can be turned into a plushie or a doorstop too!

The small version uses 2mm hooks and 6mm safety eyes. The large version uses 10mm hooks and 12mm safety eyes. It is about 20cm tall, whilst the small one is 7.5cm tall.

You can add rice for the doorstop (about 1kg) and even a little rice to the small one - that makes it very tactile to hold and gently squish!
